Auschwitz-Birkenau which is located just 1 hour drive from Kraków, was the biggest German Nazi concentration camp. Now this site is on the UNESCO world heritage list and is visited by millions of people every year.

Museum of Auschwitz-Birkenau is an unique preserved evidence of the Nazi crimes committed in Poland. It is where 1.1 million people were murdered during the world war II by the German Nazi regime. During the 7 hours tour you will see the famous gate with the sign “ARBEIT MACHT FREI”, barracks, gas chambers and watchtowers and more. Tour guide will tell you with great sensitivity about the life and death of the Auschwitz prisoners. 

We recommend it as a one-day tour from Krakow. You may choose the pick up point in the location that is best for you. Comfortable minibus will pick you up and bring you back to Kraków.

Departures from Krakow take place between 7:00 – 11:30 am. Please note that the booking hour is preliminary and it might change. On the day (until 7 pm) before the tour you will receive the message with the exact departure time.

Transfer to Auschwitz by an air-conditioned vehicle (approx. 1.5h)

Please come to the selected pick-up location 15 minutes before the departure time. You will be picked up by our tour guide. Remember that each ticket is individual and you must take your ID or passport with you to confirm your identity.  Museum staff have the right to refuse entry if you don’t bring your ID or passport. We do not take any responsibility if any of our customers are refused to enter Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau due to lack of documents.

Visit to Auschwitz I (approx. 1.5h)

The Official Auschwitz Educator will share the heartbreaking story in the chosen language. Entrance fees are already paid so you don’t have to worry about anything.

15 minutes break

During the 15 minute break you will have time to eat something. It’s recommended to bring a sandwich or a small snack with you.

Transfer to Birkenau (approx. 10 minutes)

After visiting Auschwitz I camp and short break you will be taken to Birkenau camp tour, with the same bus that you arrived with.

Visit to Auschwitz II Birkenau (approx. 2h)

Continuation of your tour in Birkenau camp.

Return to Krakow from Birkenau camp (approx. 1.5h)

You can be dropped off near the place of the pickup or the starting point.

The hours you book are tentative and may change, and departures from Krakow may take place in the following hours: 7.00 am. – 11.30 am. You will receive a message with the exact departure time until 7 pm on the day before the activity. Please check in at your chosen meeting point 15 minutes before the scheduled start time of the tour.

IMPORTANT

Remember to bring your identity document or passport (without it, you will not be able to enter the museum). All customers are obliged to take their ID document with them on the day of the tour (if there is no such document, the staff of the facility have the right to refuse entry to the museum). The name and surname on the reservation must be identical as in the ID document. We do not take any responsibility if any of our customers will be refused to enter Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau due to lack of documents.

The maximum size of backpacks or handbags brought into the Museum cannot exceed dimensions 30x20x10 cm. Larger bags must be left in the car.

Most of the tour takes place outside, so please be prepared for the different weather conditions.

Taking photos in the buildings with the use of flash is forbidden. You are allowed to take photos only in selected parts of the Museum.

Eating and smoking, as well as acting in a loud manner are forbidden at the Museum. There is a 15-minute break during the tour, we suggest taking a sandwich and water with you. Please bear in mind that there are hundreds of tourists visiting the Museum every day and keeping your own pace of sightseeing is not possible. Not wheelchair accessible. Not recommended for children aged 14 and under. Not recommended for travellers with heart problems or other serious medical conditions Children must be accompanied by an adult.
